Organic Olive

Silifke, also known as Celebi olives are one of Turkey’s superior quality table olive varieties. The harvest season ranges from October to November. The fruit is hand picked and then subjected to a stringent selection process to remove damaged olives.

These olives have been grown on our farm near Antalya, traditionally harvested by a farmer dedicated to producing the very best olives and using only organic techniques.

Healthy Monounsaturated Fats

About 14% of the oil is saturated fat, whereas 11% is polyunsaturated, such as omega-6 and omega-3 fatty acids.

Chronic inflammation is thought to be a leading driver of diseases, such as cancer, heart disease, metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, Alzheimer’s, arthritis and even obesity.

Weight Loss

Eating excessive amounts of fat causes weight gain. However, numerous studies have linked the Mediterranean diet, rich in olive oil, with favorable effects on body weight.

Antibacterial Properties

Olive oil contains many nutrients that can inhibit or kill harmful bacteria. One of these is Helicobacter pylori, a bacterium that lives in your stomach and can cause stomach ulcers and stomach cancer.

Olive Oil

The olives are cold extracted at exceptionally low temperatures within a few hours of being picked. Lower extraction temperatures result in a smaller yield but a higher quality because the oil remains exceptionally rich in nutrients and has superior organoleptic properties.

Get the Right Type

Buying the right kind of olive oil is extremely important. Extra virgin olive oil retains some of the antioxidants and bioactive compounds from olives. For this reason, it’s considered healthier than the more refined variety of olive oil. Even so, there is a lot of fraud on the olive oil market, as many oils that read “extra virgin” on the label have been diluted with other refined oils.
